FAYETTEVILLE -- Coming off a 3-1 road weekend and returning home to host three matches, head coach Michael Hegarty of the No. 46 University of Arkansas women's tennis team met with RazorVision to discuss his thoughts on the season thus far.

The Razorbacks (8-9, 1-5 SEC) have endured a tough schedule to date with 14 of the team's 17 opponents having either been ranked at the time of play or now currently ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Team Rankings.

A dramatic win on the road Sunday may have been the spark and momentum boost that the team needed to help finish out this testing season strong, said Hegarty.

"It was a really good road weekend for us," Hegarty said. "We had a good, competitive day on Friday getting a double header win and then took a tough loss to Texas A&M where I thought we played great. Then against Missouri on Sunday we were down 3-0 and had a really great comeback from two freshmen and two sophomores who kind of stormed back and stole the match. It was a really good weekend for us and gives us some excitement moving forward."

Hegarty also previewed the team's upcoming home matches with Ole Miss, No. 69 Mississippi State and Oral Roberts. Here his entire conversation in the video below:
