@RazorbackMBB Rewind: We’ll Pick You Up

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Over the 10 days leading up to the National Championship game, ArkansasRazorbacks.com will highlight the top 10 stories and moments from the 2013-14 @RazorbackMBB season, in which the Razorbacks won 22 games advanced to the postseason in head coach Mike Anderson’s third season.

Tuesday’s feature takes a look at the production of the Arkansas bench, which was a deciding factor in a majority of the 34 games this season. Of the team’s SEC-leading 80.1 points per game, 32.2 came from the bench, good for the third-most bench points by any team in the nation.

We’ll Pick You Up
Armed with a lot of depth, Arkansas was able to play its #Fastest40 style at all times. Over the 34-game slate, the bench supplied 40 percent of the team’s scoring. Below are some other facts that brag about Arkansas’ depth.
- Out-scored opponents by 12.5 points per game.
- Averaged 32.2 points per game, highlighted scoring 60+ three times with a season-best of 71 against Ole Miss.
- Total number of points supplied by the bench was 1,095.
- Supplied a double figure scorer in 26 games.
- Out-scored the opposition 28 times, highlighted by a margin of 20 or more eight times.
- Went 21-7 when out-scoring the opposition in bench points.
- Eight different players scored double figures off the bench, led by 10 from redshirt junior Alandise Harris.
- Sophomore Michael Qualls averaged 10.2 points over 16 games off the bench.
- Sophomore Anthlon Bell’s 23 points vs. Ole Miss were the most by a Razorback off the bench and one of three 20-point games by three different players.

The banquet will be held on the court inside Bud Walton Arena with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the banquet beginning at 7 p.m.
