BATON ROUGE, La. -- The No. 50 University of Arkansas women's tennis team won its eighth doubles point of the season and took an early 1-0 lead, but a rally from No. 58 LSU resulted in four straight singles victories and a 4-1 defeat of UA in Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday.

Sarah McLean and Flavia Araujo wrapped up the first match at No. 3 doubles, then Shannon Hudson and Kimberley - Ann Surin helped the Razorbacks (13-15, 2-11 SEC) clinch the doubles point with a win at No. 1 doubles. It was the third time this SEC season that UA has gained the early advantage by winning the doubles point.

The Tigers (11-12, 3-10 SEC) countered, however, with victories at No. 2, No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles to seal the 4-1 defeat of the Razorbacks.

UA takes to the court again later in the day to face Jackson State at 2:30 p.m. in what will be its regular season finale. The Razorbacks will then prepare for the 2014 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament, which will be held in Columbia, Mo., this season April 16-20.
