BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2014 Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Year Katherine Grable finished second in the all-around competition with a 39.60 in Session II of the NCAA Championships behind two scores of 9.95 on the vault and floor to qualify for the NCAA Event Finals. The Meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

Grable has drawn the second position in the vault finals of 12 gymnasts and she will close the 2014 NCAA Gymnastics Championships by competing in the final spot of the lineup on the floor.

Grable will compete in the NCAA Event Finals for the fourth and final time in her career. She has previously qualified on the floor two times and qualified on the beam once. This marks the first time in her career that she has qualified for more than one event and she is just the third Razorback gymnast to do so. Her highest finish on the floor was last season where she placed sixth with a score of 9.8875.

Grable is one of 12 gymnasts to qualify for the vault finals. She is one of three gymnasts to qualify with a score of 9.95, but the only gymnast in the meet to collect a 9.95 from all four judges. In Razorback history on the vault, the Gymbacks have qualified four different times with the highest finish coming from Michelle Stout in 2008, where she finished fourth with a 9.80.

On the floor, Grable is one of 13 gymnasts to qualify for the finals. She is one of six gymnasts to score a 9.95 during the NCAA Semifinals and one of three gymnasts to record four scores of 9.95 or better from all four judges. In Razorback history on the floor, the Gymbacks have qualified five different times with the highest finish coming from Jaime Pisani in 2011, where she finished fifth with a 9.90.
