FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The men’s track and field team comes in at No. 4 in this week’s national rankings, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday.

The No. 4 Razorbacks are coming off a successful weekend at the Mt. SAC Relays, where they won two events and saw an outdoor personal-best performance by Patrick Rono in the 1,500-meter (3:46.11). Jarrion Lawson won long jump with a second-best career jump of 25-9.25, the No. 4 mark in the NCAA and No. 2 in the SEC. In his first outdoor competition of the season, Omar McLeod earned a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.79, ranking the freshman seventh in the SEC this season.

Arkansas moved to the No. 4 spot in the rankings after steadily holding the No. 3 position the past two weeks. Oregon moves up to No. 1 this week, as the Florida Gators fall to No. 2. Texas A&M swapped places with the Razorbacks, as the Aggies move into No. 3, followed by Arkansas, while Florida State rounds out the top five in the No. 5 spot.
