FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas women’s track and field team remains steady this week at No. 9 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Computer Rankings, as announced Tuesday.

In week four of the rankings, Texas jumps to No. 1, followed by Southeastern Conference foes Florida and Texas A&M, respectively. Georgia remains in the No. 5 position and while Kentucky owns the No. 6 spot again this week. LSU comes in at No. 8 followed by No. 9 Southern California, swapping spots from last week. Arkansas and Florida State round out the top 10, respectively, for the second week in a row. For complete rankings, click here.

This past weekend, the No. 9 Razorbacks split the squad between the Penn Relays and Drake relays, earning some top performances at both meets. Morris won pole vault at the Penn Relays with a mark of 14-5.25, her third 14-foot clearance this season. It goes down as the second-best mark in the SEC this season with the top mark also belonging to Morris (14-7.25), as she stands as the only vaulter in the conference to clear 14 feet during the 2014 outdoor season.

The 4x400 quartet of Brianna Swinton, Daina Harper, Regine Williams and Chrishuna Williams crossed the finish line in 3:32.18, a strong second-place finish that ranks fourth in the Southeastern Conference and sixth in the nation.  The sprint medley relay team also earned a runner-up finish on Saturday, with a second-place time of 3:48.25. R. Williams led off for the Razorbacks, followed by Harper and C. Williams in their first of two races on the day. Stephanie Brown anchored the Razorbacks for the 800 leg, bringing it home for the runner-up finish.

Arkansas will return to John McDonnell Field next weekend as the Razorbacks host the Arkansas Twilight Friday night. The distance crew will travel to California for the Payton Jordan Invitational. For more information on Razorback Track and Field, follow @RazorbackTF on Twitter.
