FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the second-consecutive week, the University of Arkansas men’s track and field team is ranked No. 3 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country  Coaches Association National Rankings, as released on Tuesday.

The top four spots in the nation did not change this week as Florida remains No. 1 spot in the nation, followed by Texas A&M at No. 2 and the No. 3 Razorbacks. Oregon holds on at No. 4, while Texas Tech jumps to No. 5 this week. Six of the top 10 programs in the NCAA are Southeastern Conference teams, including No. 6 Georgia, No. 9 LSU and No. 10 Alabama. For complete rankings, click here.

The Razorbacks are coming off a successful weekend that kicked off Friday night at the Arkansas Twilight, the final regular-season home meet of the season. The 800-meter crew of Patrick Rono, Tomas Squella and Andrew Pisechko stepped up to punch their ticket to the NCAA West Preliminary. Rono, Squella and Pisechko join several of their teammates on the NCAA Preliminary qualifying list, as 18 Razorbacks have qualified for the preliminary meet so far.

Accompanying that group is Staney Kebenei, with a season debut in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Payton Jordan Invitational. His time of 8:40.12 ranks No. 3 in the NCAA.

The No. 3 Razorbacks will take the weekend off in preparation for the SEC Outdoor Championships May 15-18 in Lexington, Ky. For more information on Razorback Track and Field, follow @RazorbackTF on Twitter.
