May 10 - Arkansas 7, Texas A&M 3

May 16, 6 p.m. - Arkansas at Missouri - Columbia, Mo. (Live on CST)
May 17, 2 p.m. - Arkansas at Missouri - Columbia, Mo. (Live on CST)

Player of the Week:

Clark Eagan - DH - 6-1 - 170 - Appleton, Wis.

Notes: Clark Eagan took over the top spot in the lineup against Texas A&M and hit .500 with four hits, two runs scored and three walks to lead Arkansas to its third series win over a ranked opponent. He provided three sacrifice hits on the weekend and drove in a pair of runs. Eagan tallied his first career home run in the series opener to give the Razorbacks a lead they would never relinquish. He ended the series with three walks, two extra base hits and one stolen base in as many attempts. Eagan had an on base percentage of .667 and slugging percentage of 1.000.

Pitcher of the Week:

Trey Killian - RHP - 6-2 - 190 - Mountain Home, Ark.

Notes: Trey Killian made another brilliant Friday night start for Razorbacks against No. 20 Texas A&M, tossing 8.0 innings and allowing two hits and one run. He took a no hitter to the seventh inning before surrendering a one-out double to break up the no-hit bid. He recorded seven strikeouts in the game and did not walk a batter. Killian has allowed one earned run or less in six of his 11 outings as he lowered his earned run average to 2.29 on the year.

Team Notes

  • The Razorbacks have won at least one game in 26 straight SEC series dating back to the 2012 season, currently the second longest streak in the league.
  • The Razorbacks just finished a stretch of playing 20 ranked opponents in a 29-game span and did so with a 10-10 record.
  • Arkansas has won three SEC series against ranked opponents, defeating No. 1 South Carolina, No. 11 Vanderbilt and No. 20 Texas A&M.
  • The Razorbacks have a magic number of one to clinch a spot in the SEC Tournament. Any combination next week of an Arkansas win or Georgia/Auburn loss will send the Razorbacks to the conference tournament.
  • If the season ended today, Arkansas would be the No. 8 seed in the SEC Tournament and play No. 9 Texas A&M in the opening round.
  • Arkansas turned three more double plays last weekend against the Aggies to bring the season total to an SEC-leading 52.
  • The Razorbacks have allowed two runs or less in 29 of 53 games this season, and finished those contests with a 21-8 record.
  • In his last four starts against ranked opponents, Chris Oliver is 4-0 with wins over No. 1 South Carolina, No. 8 LSU, No. 11 Vanderbilt, No. 10 Ole Miss and a no decision against No. 20 Texas A&M.
  • The Razorbacks will end the regular season at Missouri next, taking on the Tigers in a traditional Thursday-Saturday three-game set for the final series of the year.
  • Arkansas ended the home portion of its schedule averaging 8,235 paid fans per game at Baum Stadium.
