No. 4 Razorbacks Collect 13 All-Americans

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 4 University of Arkansas men’s track and field team collected 13 All-American honors and eight honorable mentions at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. The Razorbacks finished tied for ninth with 20 points.

Stanley Kebenei earned first-team All-American honors for his runner-up finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, the highest finish for the Razorbacks last week. Raymond Higgs was named first team All-American for his third-place finish in long jump, giving the Razorbacks their first points at the NCAA Championships. A fourth-place finish in the 800-meter, earned first-team honors for Patrick Rono as well. Rounding out the first-team list is the men’s 4x400-meter relay team of Jarrion Lawson, Eric Janise, Travis Southard and Neil Braddy.

In addition, the Razorbacks earned six second-team All-American honors include Kebenei (5,000-meter), Kevin Lazas (decathlon), Ken LeGassey (high jump), Anthony May (long jump, triple jump) and Tomas Squella (800m). Honorable mention awards include: Braddy (4x100), Curtis Brown (4x100), Eric Hawksin (4x100), Higgs (triple jump), Andrew Irwin (pole vault), Noah Kittelson (high jump), Lawson (4x100), Omar McLeod (110H).
