FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Dave Van Horn and the Arkansas baseball coaching staff released the schedule for the 2013 summer baseball camps. Summer camps are held at Baum Stadium, the Razorback Indoor Hitting Complex and the Williard & Pat Walker Pavilion & Indoor Practice Field.

Coach Van Horn and his staff have led the Razorbacks to 10-straight NCAA Tournament appearances, including trips to the 2004, 2009 and 2012 College World Series.

Camps are planned throughout the summer for players of all ages.

Three sessions of the Junior Razorback All Skills Camp are scheduled for the summer. The first session will be June 17-19, while the second session is June 24-26. The third and final session will be July 8-10. The Junior Razorback All Skills Camp, which is for campers ages 6-12 only, offers extensive instruction on hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, base running and competition.

A hitting/position camp is scheduled for July 1. This camp, which is for ages 10 and up only, will cover stance/set-up, swing mechanics, mentality, hitting position, pitch recognition and drills in the morning session. The afternoon session allows campers to choose from one of the three positions - infield, outfield or catcher and learn what it takes to play defense at the SEC level.

On July 2, the Razorbacks will host a pitching camp for ages 10 and up. This camp will cover pitching mechanics, pitch grips, signals, drills/bullpen work, pickoffs and count/pitch selection.

The final camp of the summer is the High School Prospect Camp. Campers can choose to attend either on August 9, 10 or 11. The prospect camp, which is for high school players only, is a showcase camp where a "pro-style" workout will take place along with instruction. Teams will also tour the Arkansas weight room and academic center and get a chance to visit with Arkansas' strength and conditioning coach and academic advisor.

Participants are not contracting with the University of Arkansas or the State of Arkansas with regard to participating in this camp, and the University of Arkansas and the State of Arkansas do not run or have any responsibility for the camp.

Registration is limited for low numbers. Early sign up is encouraged. For more information, call Kelly Moore at 479-575-3655 or email kjmoore@uark.edu.
