| Texas Department of Transportation will close all three eastbound I-30 mainlanes - east of Dallas near Lake Ray Hubbard - from 8:00 p.m. Friday September 30 through 4:00 a.m. Texas officials recommend I-30 eastbound travelers from the football game to take US 80 east to SH 205 near Terrell and then north back to I-30. That detour is about seven miles long. |
The third annual Southwest Classic is on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, pitting the 18th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks versus the 14th ranked Texas A&M Aggies. In this year's game, the Razorbacks are the home team. The game will kickoff at 11 a.m. and air nationally on ESPN.
The Razorbacks and Aggies are meeting inside Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for the third annual Southwest Classic. UA won the first two Southwest Classics, defeating Texas A&M 47-19 on ESPN2 in 2009 and 24-17 on ABC last season. Arkansas leads the all-time series with Texas A&M 40-24-3.
A limited number of tickets remain in the Arkansas section and can be purchased by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 800-982-HOGS or online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

Members of the Arkansas Alumni Association and the Razorback Foundation are invited to a reception with former Razorback and current Dallas Cowboy Running Back Felix Jones. The event will take place on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Westin Galleria, 4th Floor (the San Antonio Room). Join us for a private pep rally by the Razorback Band and Spirit Squad, a silent auction and hors d'oeuvres. A cash bar will be available. Proceeds from the event and auction will benefit the Arkansas Alumni Association's scholarship program, the Razorback Foundation's Tusk Fund and the Felix Jones 2 "Running Back to Make a Difference" Foundation.
East Plaza - Cowboys Stadium
The East Plaza will open at 8 a.m. to Arkansas Razorbacks fans for a pre-game pep rally. Hog Heaven will be set up with Southwest Classic and other Razorback memorabilia for sale. A variety of food and beverage vendors will be scattered throughout the Plaza. There will be a pep rally in the plaza area that will begin at 9 a.m. featuring the Razorback Band, Spirit Squads and Tusk IV. A free concert for all Hog fans featuring the Dustin Perkins band will begin immediately following the pep rally on the East Plaza. Tusk IV will remain in the East Plaza until kick-off for fans to enjoy. The Dustin Perkins band will also play immediately after the game in the East Plaza area for Razorback fans to enjoy.
As a reminder, you must have a game ticket to enter the plaza area.
