2013 || INDOOR: All-America First Team…SEC Field Athlete of the Week (Jan. 15)…finished third at the NCAA Championships with a mark of 26-0.25…began postseason with a third-place effort at the SEC Championships…mark of 25-11 at the conference meet…opened the season with a pair of wins in the long jump and triple jump at the Arkansas-Texas Dual…established personal bests of 26-1 in the long jump at the Arkansas-Texas Dual and 50-6.25 in the triple jump at the Razorback Team Invitational. OUTDOOR: All-America First Team…national runner-up in long jump at the NCAA Championships…tallied winded-aided mark of 26-4.25 at the national meet…scored at the SEC Championships with a seventh-place effort of 24-9.25…won national title in the long jump at Jamaican Championships following the season.

2012 || INDOOR: Higgs did not compete during the indoor season. OUTDOOR: Higgs capped his collegiate season with an All-America selection following a third-place finish and 26-5 measurement in the long jump at the NCAA Championships. Taking just one jump, he was the top qualifier in the event at the NCAA West Preliminary with a wind-aided mark of 27-0. Higgs was the SEC champion in the long jump with a season-best and wind-aided jump of 27-5.25. Following the collegiate season, he went on to represent his native Bahamas in the long jump at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Having already secured the Olympic ‘B’ standard, he clinched his spot with a win at the Bahamas Championships in June.

2011 || INDOOR: In his first meet as a Razorback, Higgs got out to a season-best mark of 49-7.75 to finish third in the triple jump at the Arkansas Invitational. He was third again in the event at the Arkansas-Texas Dual and added a first-place finish in the high jump against the Longhorns. Competing in the long jump, Higgs posted a season-best measurement of 25-6, good for a seventh-place showing at the Tyson Invitational. He posted a pair of scoring efforts at the SEC Championships with a fourth-place finish in the high jump (7-0.5) and a seventh-place mark in the long jump (25-2.5). He earned SEC All-Freshman credits for his conference finish in the high jump. At the Arkansas Last Chance meet, Higgs cleared a season-best height of 7-1 to win the event. At the NCAA Championships, he earned Second-Team All-America accolades with a long-jump mark of 25-1.25 and a 10th-place finish. OUTDOOR: At the Texas Relays, Higgs finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 25-11.5 and seventh in the high jump with a clearance of 7-0.5. In recognition of his collective efforts, he was named the SEC Freshman of the Week following the Texas Relays. At the SEC Championships, Higgs got out to a season-best mark of 26-9 in the long jump to pick up third-place points for the Razorbacks. He added a sixth-place result in the high jump at the conference meet, matching his season-best clearance of 7-0.5. For his effort in the long jump at the conference meet, he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team. Higgs qualified for the national meet with a seventh-place finish in the long jump (25-1.25) at the NCAA West Preliminary. He went on to earn First-Team All-America accolades with a mark of 25-9.5 and an eighth-place showing at the NCAA Championships. Following the collegiate season, Higgs qualified for the IAAF World Championships in the long jump with a victory at the Bahamas national meet. At the World Championships, he finished in 25th place during the qualifying round with a best jump of 25-4.

2010 || Higgs redshirted during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

AT ATHENS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL: Higgs holds a high jump best of 7-3, a long jump best of 24-2 and a triple jump best of 49-0.25. He was the Bahamas' youth champion in the high jump in 2008. Higgs also competed in the high jump at the World Junior Championships in 2008. He finished eighth with a clearance of 6-11.75.

PERSONAL: Born Jan. 24, 1991, he is the son of Raymond and Renee Higgs. He is enrolled in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences and is majoring in art.
