2013: Amanda Geile has had a productive junior season. She has put together a .443 slugging percentage, while batting .268. Geile has appeared in 43 games and has had six multi-RBI games. She helped Arkansas against LSU on April 5, going 3-for-4 with a three-run homerun. Geile also had a big day against Auburn in game two. She went 2-for-3 with another three-run bomb.

2012: Geile had a very successful sophomore season starting the first 41 games of the season in the outfield, before she acquired a foot injury that put her out for the rest of the season. Prior to the injury, Geile was the only Razorback that was perfect on defense with a 1.000 fielding percentage. She recorded 33 putouts and one assist. At the plate Geile had 33 hits, 10 doubles, two triples and seven home runs with a .596 slugging percentage. She had a break-out game in the 4-1 victory over No. 9 Tennessee where she went 2-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI.

2011: Amanda Geile capped her freshman season with 29 starts and 39 total appearances. She broke out with a two-RBI home run against Texas Southern (Feb. 25), the first of her Razorback career. Geile’s homer was one of three against the Lady Tigers, giving UA a 14-4 win. Geile had ample playing time at first base, right field and as the designated player for the Razorbacks. She went 2-for-3 in game three of the weekend series against South Carolina (April 17). She picked up her second home run of the season with a shot over the left side. She finished the season with a .984 fielding percentage and had just one error on the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Geile was an infielder from Parkway South High School in Manchester, Mo. As a junior she helped her team to a district title along with a second-place finish at the Missouri State Championships. For her efforts that season, she was named first team all-state, conference player of the year and the St. Louis Post Dispatch Player of the Year. Geile finished the year with a .489 batting average, 40 RBI, 44 hits and 13 home runs, tying a state record. In her career, she posted a 47-18 pitching record with a 1.38 ERA with 334 strikeouts in 425 innings pitched.  Geile holds Parkway South career records in wins (47) and home runs (20). Strong in the classroom, she was a member of the National Honors Society and graduated in the top-10 percent of her class.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 13, 1992, she is the daughter of Ken and Renee Geile. She has a younger brother, Nicholas. Her dad played college baseball at Louisiana-Lafayette. She is majoring in early childhood education and plans to pursue a career as a teacher.
