Player of the Week:

Joe Serrano - OF - 6-0 - 195 - Tucson, Ariz.

Notes: Junior Joe Serrano has become one of the most consistent bats in the lineup for the Razorbacks after hitting .357 last week with five hits and four runs scored. He worked at least one walk in every game and recorded seven walks on the week to give him a .565 on base percentage. He struck out just one time and tallied a pair of multi-hit games in midweek action against No. 17 UNLV. His two multi-hit games gave him a team-high 12 for the season.

Pitcher of the Week:

Alex Phillips - RHP - 6-4 - 225 - Nacogdoches, Texas

Notes: Alex Phillips was sensational in his sixth career start in midweek action against UNLV, tossing 6.0 shutout innings and giving up just one hit, while striking out four. He took a no-hitter to the fifth inning before surrendering a two-out single up the middle. Phillips faced just one batter over the minimum and earned his third victory of the season.

Freshman of the Week:

Andrew Benintendi - OF - 5-10 - 170 - Cincinnati

Notes: Andrew Benintendi turned in another solid performance for the Razorbacks last week, hitting .350 in five games, including three multi-hit games, two of which came on the road at No. 8 LSU. He hit safely in four of the five games, scored five runs, drove in a trio of runs and was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases. Benintendi had a .364 on base percentage and .400 slugging percentage to go along with a pair of sacrifice bunts. He has raised his average to .274 on the year to rank third on the team

Team Notes

• The Razorbacks have won at least one game in 22 straight SEC series dating back to the 2012 season, currently the second-longest streak in the league behind Vanderbilt at 24.

• Arkansas has won four straight SEC series at Baum Stadium dating back to the 2013 season and will to continue that this weekend against Vanderbilt.

• After hitting nine home runs through the first 32 games, Arkansas has hit seven home runs in the last five games.

• Eric Fisher has homered in each of the last three games and currently has the team lead with five home runs. He could become the first player to homer in four straight games since Aaron Murphree accomplished the feat in six straight games during the 2008 season.

• Arkansas is in the midst of playing 14 ranked squads in a 17-game span, including nine of those against current top 10 teams in the country. No. 7 Vanderbilt will continue that stretch this weekend.

• Brian Anderson extended his hitting streak to 13 games over the weekend at LSU and has now hit safely in 32 of 37 games this season. He has needed a ninth-inning hit in two of the last four games to extend the streak.

• The Razorbacks turned five double plays in three games against LSU to bring their season total to an SEC-leading 37.

• The Razorbacks lead the SEC in complete games with five, with four of those coming against conference opponents.

• In the series finale at LSU, Arkansas improved to 9-2 when scoring in the first inning and 20-3 when scoring before the opponent.

• Sunday's 10 runs at LSU marked the first time this season Arkansas scored double-digit runs against a conference opponent.

• Blake Baxendale's grand slam Sunday gave Arkansas two grand slams in SEC play. Tyler Spoon connected on the first one against Alabama.
