Van Horn on Atkins
"Kyle has been battling injuries since the day he started at Arkansas. He hasn't had the opportunity to play summer ball due to injures and surgeries. He's behind on his at bats. He's one of the fastest base runners on the team. The key for Kyle to get in the lineup is the bat. He plays a solid outfield. He stole some bases for us last year off the bench and was used basically as a pinch runner. We hope that he'll increase that role this season."
