Notes:

Arkansas went 1-1 on the week defeating Mississippi State, 96-70, at home before losing to South Carolina on the road, 75-54 ... the Razorbacks were led by Marhsawn Powell who averaged 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds for the week including a double-double against the Gamecocks with 22 points and a career-high tying 13 rebounds ... Powell has led the Razorbacks in scoring in each of the last five games and 10 times this season ... the game against the Bulldogs featured numerous performances that cracked Arkansas’ all-time top 10 lists for SEC games including margin of victory (26) eighth, blocks (11) second, forced turnovers (29) tied for fourth and assists (27) tied for second ... sophomore Hunter Mickelson blocked three shots against Mississippi State to eclipse 100 blocks in his career and is just the 11th Razorback to accomplish that goal in school history ... sophomore BJ Young has 74 assists this season (4.11 apg) to go along with his team leading 16.4 points per contest, the 4.11 assists per game would be the best by a Razorback since the 2009-10 season if the season were to end ... the Razorbacks continue to lead the SEC in turnover margin, assists and assist-turnover ratio for all games played and lead the league in turnover margin for SEC only statistics ... with the Razorbacks’ win against Mississippi State, Arkansas improved to 28-4 (.875) in Fayetteville with Mike Anderson as head coach, the best percentage by an Arkansas head coach since Eddie Sutton in the early 80s ... for the season Arkansas has forced teams into 346 turnovers (18.2 per game) and turned those into 431 points (22.7 per game) ... Arkansas returns to the court on Thursday, Jan. 31, when it travels to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to play the Alabama Crimson Tide before returning home to face the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, Feb. 2.
