Arkansas went 1-1 on the week, defeating Georgia at home, 62-60, before dropping a road decision to the No. 5/4 Florida Gators, 71-54 ... Arkansas’ victory against Georgia was its seventh conference home win of the season which is just the fourth time in school history that Arkansas has been 7-0 at home in league play since joining the SEC for the 1991-92 season (1992, 1994, 1998) ... Arkansas is 3-4 against teams with an RPI in the top 50 (Florida, Oklahoma, Missouri) and 5-8 against the RPI top 100 ... freshman Anthlon Bell emerged as a long-range threat for the Razorbacks this week burying a career high five three-point baskets against Georgia and sinking another four against the Gators; Bell led Arkansas in scoring this week at 15.5 points per game ... junior Coty Clarke stepped up in Arkansas’ game with Florida, scoring 18 points and grabbing seven rebounds in the loss; Clarke scored 13.0 points and grabbed 4.5 rebounds per game and hit 11-of-12 (.917) shots on the week including a perfect 8-of-8 against the Gators ... junior Marshawn Powell remains in 24th on Arkansas’ all-time scoring list this week and now has 1,219 career points ... the Razorbacks continue to lead the SEC in turnover margin and rank No. 2 in the league in assists and assist-turnover ratio for all games played and lead the league in turnover margin for SEC only statistics ... looking back to the national statistics released on Feb. 17, the Razorbacks rank No. 2 nationally in turnover margin and among the top 25 in the national statistics in assist-turnover ratio, steals per game, assists per game and scoring offense ... with the Razorbacks’ win against Georgia, Arkansas improved to 32-4 (.889) in Fayetteville with Mike Anderson as head coach, the best percentage by an Arkansas head coach since Eddie Sutton in the early 80s ... for the season Arkansas has forced teams into 474 turnovers (17.6 per game) and turned those into 564 points (20.9 per game) ... Arkansas is 5-2 in the month of February after going a combined 14-28 over the last four- season in the months of February and March ... Arkansas returns to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 27, when it travels to LSU for a 7 p.m. game before returning to Bud Walton Arena to face Kentucky at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 2.
