FAYETTEVILLE- The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team continued preseason practice on Wednesday at the UA intramural fields in the morning and at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in the evening.

Special teams coordinator and defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell spoke with the media after practice and commented on the focus of stopping the run this season.

"I think we have done a better job up front and I think a lot of it is because we have more experience and more depth of stopping the run and that’s been a big emphasis of ours on defense – stopping the run," Coach Caldwell said.

Coach Caldwell also commented on the positive and hardworking attitude of the whole football team.

“The thing that I’ve seen about this football team – and not that we haven’t in the past – but it’s a different attitude I think,” Coach Caldwell said. “This football team is grinding and working really hard toward their goal.”

The Razorbacks continue practice on Thursday at 9 a.m. inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Practices through Aug. 18 will take place in the football stadium and be open to the public, but practices moved inside Walker Pavilion will be closed due to space limitations.

Arkansas opens its 2012 season Sept. 1 inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville against Jacksonville State. The game begins at 6 p.m. and will be shown on a pay-per-view basis with details to be announced. Tickets for four Fayetteville games are still on sale. Tickets for the non-conference games against Jacksonville State, Rutgers and Tulsa are $45, while tickets for the conference matchup against Kentucky are $55. Single-game tickets may be purchased online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, in person the Razorback Ticket Center or by phone at 800-982-HOGS. Fans ordering tickets online have the option to print the tickets from home utilizing UA's new eTicket system.

Little Rock season ticket packages, featuring games against ULM on Sept. 8 and Ole Miss on Oct. 27, are still available for $120. The Razorbacks and Rebels are set to square off inside War Memorial Stadium for the 16th time in series history, including the first meeting and 1913, and the first time since 1992. Tickets purchased for Little Rock contests are not available with a print-at-home option.
