FAYETTEVILLE- The 10th-ranked University of Arkansas football team held a scrimmage in front of 15,000 fans on Saturday night in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Head coach John L. Smith spoke with the media following the scrimmage and expressed his thoughts on the team's performance.

"We have to get better," Coach Smith said. "We have two weeks to do it and we are going to do it. There were a lot of good things tonight, but there were still some mistakes. For the most part, pretty clean tonight. Much cleaner than we were a week ago."

Coach Smith also commented on the offensive play in the scrimmage.

"The offense did a great job," Coach Smith said. "They did a good job of picking it up and moving it down the field. The offense has had great energy all week long."

The scrimmage capped a busy day for the football team. Earlier in the day, the team participated in the annual Fan Day autograph session at Bud Walton Arena. Approximately 5,000 fans had a chance to get autographs from Razorback players and Coach Smith.

Arkansas opens its 2012 season Sept. 1 inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville against Jacksonville State. Tickets for the non-conference games against Jacksonville State, Rutgers and Tulsa are $45, while tickets for the conference matchup against Kentucky are $55. Single-game tickets may be purchased online at ArkansasRazorbacks.com, in person the Razorback Ticket Center or by phone at 800-982-HOGS. Little Rock season ticket packages, featuring games against ULM on Sept. 8 and Ole Miss on Oct. 27, are still available for $120. The Razorbacks and Rebels are set to square off inside War Memorial Stadium for the 16th time in series history, including the first meeting and 1913, and the first time since 1992.
