FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas head men’s basketball coach Mike Anderson traveled to Little Rock on Monday evening to speak to the Little Rock Razorback Club.

After a short reception, Anderson told the assembled crowd how he felt the first three days of practice have gone, his coaching philosophy and what he expects of the 2012-13 Razorbacks.  Following his speech, Arkansas’ head coach then took questions from the crowd.

Arkansas began two-a-day practices on Saturday morning after Primetime at the Palace tipped off the new season.  The Razorbacks return more than 60 percent of their offense from a year ago and add seven players to the mix.  Part of Anderson’s speech to the crowd included an assessment of his current roster and how their attributes fit into his “Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball” style of play.

The next opportunity to see the Razorbacks on the court is Tuesday, Oct. 30, when Arkansas hosts a Red-White game at Bud Walton Arena.  Arkansas’ first exhibition game of the year is set for Friday, Nov. 2, against Southwest Baptist and the season opener is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 9.
