FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas Head Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Anderson and Razorback football Defensive Coordinator Paul Haynes spent Thursday evening at the Greers Ferry Lake Area Razorback Club held at the Heber Springs Community Center.

The stop for Anderson is his final speaking engagement on the Razorback Club tour which has crisscrossed the state.  He continued to deliver his message to Arkansas fans about his vision of what is to come at Bud Walton Arena, his goals as a coach, his assessment of the 2011-12 season and the improvements that his current team has made.

Prior to Anderson’s speech, Haynes talked to the crowd about his busy travel schedule, what the Razorback Football team will be doing after the conclusion of finals, the effort that the Razorbacks put in during spring practice and his philosophy about Arkansas’ defense.

Anderson led the basketball team to an 18-14 record in 2011-12 which included three victories over ranked teams, a school-record 17 wins at home and an undefeated non-conference home schedule.  The Razorbacks bring back a majority of their team for the 2012-13 season.

Arkansas’ football squad is coming off a Cotton Bowl victory and a second consecutive 10-win season.  The Razorbacks also return a majority of their squad including quarterback Tyler Wilson, running back Knile Davis and linebacker Tenarius Wright.
