2012-13 Preview: A transfer from Houston, he is still awaiting to hear from the NCAA on a waiver that could make him eligible to play this year ... did not make the team’s preseason trip to Italy ... according to Coach Anderson “physical, aggressive, just a tough-minded basketball player. Jumps as high as he has to, but loves the physicality of the game. Can score in a lot of ways, inside-outside, he plays with a lot of passion.” At Houston: Averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in two seasons at Houston … second on the team in points (13.3) and rebounds (6.4) as a sophomore … ranked in the top 10 in Conference USA in rebounds, field goal percentage and blocked shots his second year … C-USA Player of the Week (11/21/11) … C-USA Freshman of the Week (1/17/11) … career high 25 points against UTEP, going 11-of-16 from the field with two three pointers and had a double-double with a career-high tying 12 rebounds … ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.4) as a freshman … ranked in top 19 in Conference USA in both rebounding and blocked shots as a first-year player. In High School: Three-time all-state selection … four-time all-conference player … named to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas team two times … averaged 20.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.7 blocks per game as a senior at Central High School. Personal: Son of the late Alberta Harris … born Nov. 23, 1990 … he is majoring in sociology. |
