Razorbacks Introduce Never Yield Campaign

#NeverYield Campaign Goes Social

FAYETTEVILLE - Engaging University of Arkansas students in Razorback Athletics has always been a priority and now the more than 25,000 students on campus can be actively involved in the Never Yield campaign.

"Just as our students are at the center of everything we do as a university, engaging our students will be an integral part of Never Yield," Vice Chancellor and Director Athletics Jeff Long said. "We need our students to be there to support our teams and student-athletes on game day. But we also want to give them an opportunity to partner with us as we work toward the future success of the Razorback program we all love."

Students will have an opportunity to don their Razorback pride with an official Never Yield T-shirt with a purchase of the 2013-14 Razorback Access Pass. The words of the fight song are featured within the Never Yield lettering in the shirt's design. The shirt will also serve as the official student Trough shirt for the upcoming athletic year.

Other fans also have the opportunity to purchase the program's official shirt exclusively through Hog Heaven. The shirt is now available at Hog Heaven, in Bud Walton Arena and online at Shop.ArkansasRazorbacks.com beginning next week. Hog Heaven is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that this week due to Independence Day, Hog Heaven will be closed on Thursday, July 4, but will be open for regular business hours on Friday and Saturday.

Fans are encouraged to submit photos of themselves and their friends wearing the official Never Yield T-shirts. Photos may be submitted through traditional social media sites or by sending them directly to neveryieldphotos@gmail.com.

For the first time ever, students also have the opportunity to join the Razorback Foundation with a specialized collegiate membership. For a $15 membership, students receive a long list of benefits including priority bowl game seating, access to a private men's basketball practice with Coach Mike Anderson, an exclusive event with Head Football Coach Bret Bielema, priority admission to select athletic events and a Razorback Foundation rewards packet. Students may order their collegiate membership as part of their Razorback Access Pass order. All proceeds from the collegiate membership go to support Razorback student-athletes. More information, including a collegiate membership brochure, is also available at RazorbackFoundation.com.

Never Yield originates from a signature line in the University of Arkansas' fight song and captures the spirit and passion of Razorback student-athletes, coaches and fans. While it has always been a battle cry specific to the University of Arkansas, Never Yield will serve as a program wide motto to help raise the national profile of Razorback Athletics while bringing fans together in their support for the more than 460 student-athletes representing the University of Arkansas.

The Never Yield campaign also includes additional components including a fundraising initiative for a Student-Athlete Success Center, a basketball practice facility and a baseball and track indoor training facility and a social media initiative for Razorback fans.
