Below are season-long notes for the University of Arkansas swimming and diving team.

Lim wins first first 100 fly event in epic fashion

FAYETTEVILLE -The Razorbacks were 12 events into the 16-event schedule against Kansas and so far Arkansas had taken all 12 first-place finishes.

To keep the sweep alive, redshirt sophomore Shana Lim would have to win her first career 100 butterfly event. After the first 50 yards, Lim was trailing Kansas' Deanna Marks by about half a body length and it looked as if the Razorbacks would come one event short of the sweep, but Lim wasn't done yet, and in epic fashion the Singapore native passed Marks, out-toughing her at the wall by half a second (56.51).

The win was Lim's fourth event win on the year and her first in the 100 butterfly.

"Today we had some people really step up, like Shana Lim in her first time swimming the 100 fly," head coach Sean Schimmel said. "She was in second for about 85 yards and she really finished strong and got her hand on the wall there. She showed a lot of pride and a lot of what is inside of her by winning that event."
