FAYETTEVILLE- The University of Arkansas men's tennis head coach Robert Cox announced the addition of Jacob Herndon to the Arkansas men's tennis team for the 2012-2013 season.
The Gilmer, Texas native is currently the No. 139 player in the US and is ranked No. 9 in Boy's 18's in Texas.
Herndon helped lead Trinity School of Texas to back-to-back State Championships his junior and senior years. The Titans were also State-Runner-ups Herndon's freshman year. His senior campaign he went a perfect 12-0 in singles.
"We liked what we saw in Jacob from the very beginning," said head coach Robert Cox. "His talent, drive, competitiveness and academic credentials fit great with our program. Coach Rincon and I both are impressed with his game and believe he has a huge potential in developing his game to elite level. We are looking forward to having Jacob in our program."
