FAYETTEVILLE - The No. 52 University of Arkansas men's tennis team travels to West Lafayette, Ind., this weekend to take on the No. 71 Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Razorbacks are 10-3 this season coming off a 2-1 weekend. Arkansas fell to 17th-ranked Tulsa on Friday before dominating UMKC and Oral Roberts on Sunday.
"We are excited to go up to Purdue this weekend," head coach Robert Cox said. "Purdue always has a quality program and we always enjoy going up to West Lafayette."
The Boilermakers are entering this weekend with a 9-2 record with losses to No. 19 Baylor and No. 51 Denver. Purdue has two victories over top-75 opponents this season including a 4-3 win over No. 49 Dartmouth and a 4-2 victory over No. 51 Brown.
This will be the second meeting of the two teams in the past two years. Purdue came to Fayetteville last season and handed the Razorbacks their first loss of the season with a 5-2 win.
"They came in here last year and took it to us," Coach Cox said. "We know road matches are tough, but we have had great practices this week and we are ready for the challenge."
