SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll

2012 || INDOOR: Efurd made just two appearances on the track during the indoor season but recorded personal bests in those competitions with a 4:19.12 in the mile at the Tyson Invitational and 8:37:37.98 at 3,000 meters at the Razorback Invitational. OUTDOOR: At the Stanford Invitational, Efurd knocked nearly 13 seconds off his personal best at 5,000 meters with a time of 14:26.37. He also established a personal best of 29:57.93 at 10,000 meters with a sixth-place finish at the Drake Relays. He also competed in both long-distance races at the SEC Championships. Efurd was recognized for his work in the classroom with a spot on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2011 || INDOOR: Efurd competed in two meets during the indoor season. He finished in 16th place in the mile with a time of 4:23.62 at the Razorback Invitational. At the Tyson Invitational, he was ninth in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:47.29. OUTDOOR: Efurd opened the outdoor season at the Texas Triangular and a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters, clocking a time of 8:31.36. He ran a season-best 14:39.01 in the 5,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays. At the John McDonnell Invitational, he posted a season-best 1,500 meters at 3:49.55 to finish in 14th place. Running in his first of two races at the SEC Championships, Efurd collected four points for Arkansas with a fifth-place finish and a time of 30:47.16 at 10,000 meters. He was also recognized for his work away from the track with a spot on the SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll.

2010 || Efurd redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.

AT ROGERS HS: Efurd holds personal bests of 1:56 in the 800 meters, 4:14.6 in the 1,600 meters, 9:18 in 3,200 meters and 15:20 in the cross country 5K. Efurd was a member of four cross country state championship teams, two indoor track and field state championship teams and two outdoor track and field state championship teams. Individually, he was the 2008 Arkansas cross country state champion. He also holds six state titles in indoor and outdoor track and field. At the 2009 Nike Indoor Nationals he finished eighth in the mile. Efurd was named the 2008 Arkansas Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 17, 1990, he is the son of Carlton and Becky Efurd, both U of A graduates. His father was an Arkansas track and field letterman during the 1983-84 seasons. He is enrolled in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
