AT THE WOODLANDS HS: During the final two years of his prep career, Janise was a two-time District 14-5A champion at 400 meters. He went on to finish in second place at the Region II-5A Championships and fourth at the UIL Texas 5A State Championships.  He was the 2011 region champion at 400 meters as a junior. At the 2012 district meet, Janise also captured an event title in the triple jump. He finished third at both the regional and state meets in the event. He turned in a personal-best jump of 47-8.75 at the state meet. On the track, Janise finished his prep career with personal bests of 21.59 at 200 meters and 47.02 at 400 meters. With his help, The Woodlands captured the 2011 District 14-5A team title and placed fifth overall at the 2012 UIL Texas 5A State Championships.

PERSONAL: Born Sept. 3, 1993, he is the son of David and Lauren Janise and is one of four children with siblings Ryan, Annie and Corey. Academically, Janise finished in the top 10 percent of his high school class and plans to study business finance at Arkansas.
