FAYETTEVILLE – In a game that featured a combined 214 points scored, the University of Arkansas men’s basketball team gave the fans in attendance for Sunday’s Red-White game at Hog Wild Hoops a lot to cheer about inside Bud Walton Arena.

The White team was able to record a victory over the Red with a final score of 112-102. The teams were divided up with the White squad featuring all out of state players and the Red made up of Arkansas natives, aside from freshman big man Moses Kinglsey, who played AAU ball with the Arkansas Wings.

The two teams each went over 100 points, a tribute to the fast-paced, high-scoring style head coach Mike Anderson is known for. The “Fastest 40 Minutes in College Basketball” was on full display during Hog Wild Hoops with each team shooting over 50 percent from the floor.

Sophomores Jacorey Williams, Michael Qualls and Anthlon Bell made up half of the double figure scorers for the White team, combining for 60 points. Williams poured in 16 of his team-high 21 points in the first half, finishing 9-of-11 from the field. Bell knocked down 5-of-9 from long range en route to 19 points, while Qualls’ 20-point night also featured five rebounds.

The White team owned a 48-38 edge in points in the paint, as senior Coty Clarke posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. The senior backcourt duo of Mardracus Wade and Rickey Scott Jr. poured in 20 of their combined 31 points in the second half that saw both team score 61 points.

Redshirt junior Alandise Harris, who sat out last season due to NCAA four-year transfer rules, finished with team-highs of 26 points and nine rebounds for the Red team. Senior Fred Gulley III and junior Rashad Madden each scored 24 points, with Madden also contributing six rebounds and eight assists. Freshman Bobby Portis added 18 points and five rebounds in his first outing in front of Razorback fans.

Arkansas will host the first of its two exhibition games on Friday, Nov. 1, when it hosts Missouri Southern at Bud Walton Arena. Tip is slated for 7 p.m.
