2013: Kelly Young had an outstanding start to her Razorback career in her freshman season. She finished the year with a 5-0 record and was second on the team with a 2.42 ERA. She appeared in 12 games and pitched 34.2 innings in 2013. Young had a great performance against Weber State on Feb. 9 in which she struck out nine batters in five innings.

HIGH SCHOOL: Young was a 4.0 student at Madison Central High School in Canton, Miss. She compiled a 38-5 record as a pitcher while hitting .409 at the plate. As a senior, she posted a record of 25-2 with a .29 ERA  and 344 strikeouts against 42 walks in 175 innings while batting .343.  She was named first team all-state in 2012 and 2011 and second team all-state in 2010, and was the Lady Jaguars MVP three years in a row. In 2012 she was named the Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year. Her high school team won back - to- back-to-back state championships her sophomore, junior and senior year.

PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 21, 1993. Her parents are Richard and Linda Young. She will pursue an engineering major while attending the University of Arkansas.
