FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas volleyball team will play its final home match of the season Sunday afternoon as it hosts Ole Miss. First serve of the SEC Western Division matchup is set for 1:30 p.m. (CT) at Barnhill Arena. Prior to the match, the Razorbacks’ six seniors—Roslandy Acosta, Amanda Anderson, Kasey Heckelman, Marci King, Jasmine Norton and Janeliss Torres-Lopez—will be recognized in a Senior Day ceremony.
Single-match tickets for Arkansas volleyball are $4, while fans 17 years and younger are admitted for free. University of Arkansas students attending volleyball matches this season are asked to use the street-level entrance on Stadium Drive to enter Barnhill Arena.
The Razorbacks lead the all-time series with Ole Miss, 26-11, including a four-set win earlier this season on the Rebels’ home floor. In the match, Arkansas had three players with double-digit kills, paced by a match-high 18 kills from Norton and a career-high 16 kills from Anderson. Ole Miss won the first set of the match before the Razorbacks rallied to take the next three games.
Arkansas enters Sunday’s match with a 20-8 overall record and an 11-6 tally in SEC play. In Friday’s weekend opener, the Razorbacks beat Georgia in four sets behind a .370 hitting percentage and four double-digit kill efforts from Acosta, Anderson, Norton and Torres-Lopez. From the setter’s position, Raymariely Santos registered 52 assists, nine digs and five kills.
With the win, Arkansas has its first 20-win season since 2005. The team’s 11 wins in conference play are a program high under head coach Robert Pulliza, surpassing the team’s 10 SEC wins last season.
Ole Miss (11-15, 5-12 SEC) comes into the match off a straight-set win over Mississippi State in Starkville. Nakeyta Clair and Allegra Wells led the Rebels’ attack with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. On the season, Kara Morgan leads the team with 3.08 kills per set and Ashley Veach leads the defensive charge with 4.30 digs per set.
