FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas Athletics Department in conjunction with Razorback Sports Properties announced the 2012-13 Razorback women’s basketball radio affiliates today.

The Razorback women’s basketball team begins its 24th consecutive season of network operations in 2012-13.  Produced by Razorback Sports Properties, all home, road and tournament broadcasts of the University of Arkansas women’s basketball games will be carried live over the air and on-line at ArkansasRazorbacks.com.

The broadcasts originate from the flagship station in Little Rock, Ark., 100,000-watt KABZ-FM, 103.7 FM.  In addition, the women’s basketball broadcasts can be heard in Fort Smith on KFPW-AM, 1230; Barling on KFPW-FM, 94.5 and Rogers on KURM-AM, 790.

The Razorbacks welcome Cumulus station KQSM-FM, 92.1 to the lineup for the 2012-13 season covering the Northwest Arkansas region.  The Razorback women’s games will also air on Cumulus’ KFAY-AM for all contests that conflict with other broadcasted events such as men’s basketball and baseball.

Andrew Reynolds begins his third season as the team’s play-by-play announcer and is joined this year by former Razorback women’s basketball and softball player Robin Alpe Wright.

The Razorback women’s basketball team opens the season with exhibition action Sunday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. hosting Rogers State in Bud Walton Arena.  The season opener is scheduled for an 11 a.m. tip with Jackson State Nov. 9, as the team celebrates Elementary Day.

Arkansas plays its next five games on the road traveling to Tulsa, Oral Roberts and to Hawai’i for tournament action.
