Wolff earns MVP

FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas signee Melissa Wolff earned Most Valuable Player honors leading the East All-Stars to a 75-59 win in high school action in Bud Walton Arena Wednesday.

Wolff, who will join the Razorbacks as a freshman in the fall, scored nine points and had six rebounds in the win.

The Cabot, Ark., native went 3-for-7 from the floor and 3-for-4 from the line.  Wolff also had two blocks and a steal for the East.

Wolff is a 6-0 guard who helped Cabot to the Class 7A state championship in March in Hot Springs, Ark.  She scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds earning MVP honors at the state tournament.

The Razorbacks and head coach Tom Collen have landed the top in state prospects for two consecutive years with Wolff joining Fayetteville’s Calli Berna on the squad.
