Last Season: Kansas finished 20-14 overall with a 13-4 home record. The Jayhawks went 8-10 and finished seventh in the Big 12 Conference standings. Kansas is coming off its second straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.

Foe to Know: Chelsea Gardner, 6-3, Forward, Junior. Gardner led the Jayhawks with 6.9 rebounds per game last season and added 8.7 points per contest. The DeSoto, Texas, native appeared in all 34 games last season, starting in 19 and averaging 23.2 minutes per game. She recorded her first double-double of the season with a career-high 26 points and 10 rebounds against Grambling State.

A Program Restored: In her nine years at the helm of the Kansas program, head coach Bonnie Henrickson has taken the Jayhawks from the cellar of the Big 12 Conference to a perennial contender.
