FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team went undefeated, winning four singles matches and two doubles, on Saturday at the Napa Challenge in Napa, Calif.

“I couldn’t be more proud of these guys,” head coach Robert Cox said. “We had a solid day, yesterday, but the improvement in one-days time was incredible.”

Junior Manfred Jeske collected his second victory of the fall season with a win over Pacific’s Sem Verbeek 7-5, 6-3.

Senior Gregoire Lehmann got his first win of the season taking down Pacific’s Denis Stolyarov 6-1, 6-4.

Junior’s Mike Nott and Hall Fess’s experience showed, both winning, tough, three set matches. Nott defeated Pacific’s Alex Hamilton 2-6, 6-0, 6-3, while Fess took down Trevor James 5-7, 7-5, 6-2.

Doubles play picked up right where it left off, collecting two more wins and giving the Hogs a perfect 4-0 in doubles at Napa.

“Our doubles play has been fantastic,” Coach Cox said. “Both teams have really started to gel and play great.”
