The Razorbacks opened the exhibition season with a 106-78 victory over Southwest Baptist on Friday, Nov. 2 … Freshman Anthlon Bell led the way with 17 points including hitting all three of his three-point shots … The Razorback victory is its 15th consecutive exhibition win dating back to the 2005-06 season … Arkansas sank 24-of-26 free throws (92.3%)in the Southwest Baptist game and including the Red-White game have hit 37-of-44 (84.1%) … Mike Anderson’s “Fastest 40 Minutes in Basketball” forced Southwest Baptist into 26 turnovers which led to 31 Razorback points … Anderson’s system also calls for sharing the basketball and the Razorbacks posted 26 assists on 38 made shots (68.4%) … Anderson utilized his expanded bench in the exhibition game as 14 players made their way onto the court with 12 playing at least 10 minutes and no one playing more than 19 … In the Red-White game, the shock jocks out of Little Rock (Shawn Arnell and Pat Bradley) defeated the NWA beat writers (Bob Holt, Robbie Neiswanger and Nate Allen), 85-75 … Sophomores BJ Young, Hunter Mickelson and the freshman Bell combined for 67 of the Red team’s 85 points.
