FAYETTEVILLE - University of Arkansas head football coach John L. Smith met with the media on Monday to discuss the team's game against Mississippi State last Saturday and to talk about this Friday’s game against LSU.

Friday’s game marks Senior Day for the Razorback program as 22 student-athletes will be playing their final home game. Coach Smith talked about the importance of the final game for this year’s senior class.

“I think it’s a big deal the last time you get to put on a Razorback uniform and the last time you get to walk out in that stadium,” Coach Smith said. “It’s huge and I think everybody should play their heart out for those guys who are in that situation.”

Coach Smith also commented on how this senior class has impacted the program as a whole.
“This senior class has done a lot,” Coach Smith said. “They’ve had great days and days that are not so great. They have contributed to this program like maybe none other.”

Kickoff for the LSU game is set for 1:30 p.m., and will be televised on CBS.
