FAYETTEVILLE - In anticipation of Arkansas' soccer team opening its season this week, a video has been prepared to preview the season.
The Razorbacks begin the year with home games on Friday at 7 p.m. against Austin Peay and on Sunday at 1 p.m. against Texas.
Colby Hale, following nine years at Central Florida, is in his first season as head coach.
The video features practice and conditioning footage, and interviews with Hale in addition to seniors Andrea Carlson and Allie Chandler, junior Evan Palmer and sophomores Tyler Allen and Sam Wolf.
In the video, Hale discusses the evaluation process and setting expectations for the Razorbacks and the program.
"We broke it down from the start," Hale says in the interview. "We took a step back and evaluated what needs to be adjusted and changed, and implemented that from every aspect. We're meeting with the players, getting regular feedback and creating a culture in our training sessions, and setting expectations higher than they were used to. We want them to take ownership of the program. When it's time to train, it's time to train. We work hard to make sure we are the hardest working team in the country, but at the same time, they do enjoy their experience."
