Here's a partial transcript of the interview:
"I've lived in 10 states and two countries. I went to ORU in Tulsa and coached there. Then I went to Central Florida where I was the associate head coach."
Success at Central Florida:
"Our challenge was to take the program from a mid-major to national attention. Over the course of my nine years there, we beat 25 ranked teams. Last year we beat Florida, North Carolina and Penn State, and went to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament."
Impressions of Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas:
"We love the city. Fayetteville is a fantastic city. One of the most impressive things has been the people at the university and the passion of the fans. That's something we really enjoy. And the SEC is one of the top conferences in the country. It's everything we thought it would be. This place is great and the facilities are first-rate."
"The girls are buying in. We are pushing them hard and there's a lot of fitness. There's a core group of girls separating themselves in terms of having what it is we're looking for in terms of our end goals. We have to instill a winning culture. The hard work, the culture, the identity. That takes two-way communication between us and the student-athletes. We want to instill that winning formula that they learn to expect success."
