DULUTH, Ga. - Arkansas' gymnastics team officially closed its season on Sunday in the NCAA individual event finals with senior Jaime Pisani and sophomore Katherine Grable competing among the nation's best for event championships.

Pisani finished ninth on floor and 12th on beam while Grable was sixth on beam.

The Razorbacks concluded their team competition earlier in the weekend by reaching the NCAA Super Six for the second time in the program's 10-year history and the second time in four years. Arkansas finished sixth in the country for its fourth top 10 finish in five years.

Over the last five years, Arkansas has finished 10th in 2008, fifth with a trip to the Super Six in 2009, 11th in 2010, tied for ninth in 2011 and sixth with another trip to the Super Six this season.

In Sunday's event finals at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga., Pisani, the Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Year, closed her decorated career. She was 12th on vault and 10th on floor in the 2010 event finals, and fifth on floor and seventh in the all-around in 2011.

She also finished third in the nation in the all-around this year. The all-around is determined during the two semifinal sessions, which were Friday. Pisani had a 39.625 with a 9.875 vault, 9.90 on bars, 9.95 on beam and 9.90 on floor. Florida's Kytra Hunter won with a 39.725 while Georgia's Kat Ding was third with a 39.65. The top seven all-around finishers were from the SEC.

Grable, who missed the final month of the regular season with an ankle injury before coming back for the NCAA Fayetteville Regional on April 7, also finished ninth in the nation on floor in 2011.

Grable went third in the order and posted a 9.8625 on beam. She was in second place after the first group.

Pisani went fourth in the first group on floor and needed to beat 9.925 to take the lead. She scored a 9.8625 and was tied for third after the first group.

Pisani went third in the second group on beam and received a deduction for not completing a requirement.

Other finalists on beam included Sara Stone of Oklahoma, Samantha Peszek of UCLA, Geralen Stack-Eaton of Alabama, Emily Wong of Nebraska, Ashley Priess of Alabama, Megan Ferguson of Oklahoma, Ivana Hong of Stanford, Katie Matusik of Arizona, Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs of UCLA and Amanda Spinner of Stanford.

Stack-Eaton won the title with a 9.9375.

Other floor finalists were Ferguson of Oklahoma, Kytra Hunter of Florida, Rachel Updike of Missouri, Hopfner-Hibbs of UCLA, Kat Ding of Georgia, Ashanee Dickerson of Florida, Melanie Jones of Oregon State, Vanessa Zamarripa of UCLA, Stack-Eaton of Alabama and Jessie DeZiel of Nebraska.

Ding won with a 9.950.
