HOUSTON - The 23rd-ranked University of Arkansas placed 15 Razorbacks in the finals on day two of the Houston Cougar Swimming and Diving Invitational. We are just half way through the invitational and the Razorbacks have made eight additions to the record books.

The Razorbacks started off the morning strong, placing two swimmers in the top-eight with junior Julia Kucherich placing fourth with an NCAA ’B’ cut time of 4:18.38 and redshirt freshman Tera Bradham clocking a personal best and placing seventh overall with a time of 4:21.07 in the 400-yard individual medley.

In the 100 butterfly Susanna White recorded a personal-best time of 55.10 and placed in the top-eight. Braun and Drolc also made the evening finals with times of 55.76 and 55.97 respectively. Drolc’s 55.97 is a personal best.

The 200-yard freestyle brought lots of excitement as freshman Anna Mayfield recorded the second-best time in school history in the preliminaries with a time of 1:44.76.

Sophomore Nikki Daniels recorded the third-fastest time in school history in the 100-yard breast stroke preliminaries. Her time of 1:01.08 put her in second going into the finals. Sophomore Julia Banach recorded a personal-best time of 1:02.03 and will compete in the top-eight as well.

The Razorbacks placed sophomore Shana Lim and Mayfield in the finals of the 100-yard backstroke.
