FAYETTEVILLE - The No. 5 University of Arkansas women's track and field team qualified for three event finals Friday at the 85th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. The Razorbacks capped a busy day three with a runner-up result in the sprint-medley relay. During the morning session, Arkansas collected qualifiers in the 100-meter hurdles and 4x100 and 4x400 relays.

In the first event of the day, the Razorbacks' 4x100-meter relay team qualified for the event final. The quartet of Gwendolyn Flowers, Regina George, Whitney Jones and Tiffany Hines passed the baton around the track in a time of 44.63, good for fifth overall in the preliminary heats. The final of the 4x100-meter relay is scheduled for Saturday at 2:05 p.m. (CT).

Arkansas collected its second finals berth from Ivanique Kemp in the 100-meter hurdles. She posted a time of 13.35 to win heat three and finish eighth overall in the preliminary round. Saturday's final in the 100-meter hurdles is scheduled for 2:50 p.m. Having already qualified for the finals of the 400-meter hurdles, Brittany Hyter finished with a time of 13.47, good for 12th overall in Friday's prelims of the 100-meter hurdles.

The Razorbacks were the fourth-fastest qualifying team during the preliminary heats of the 4x400-meter relay. The final of the 4x400-meter relay is set for a 5:10 p.m. start Saturday.

Arkansas finished its day with a second-place showing in the sprint-medley relay.  The foursome of Flowers, George, Hines and Chrishuna Williams turned in a time of 3:46.70. In a load day-three schedule, Flowers, George and Hines were all making their third appearances on the track. Earlier in the day, Hines finished 17th in the preliminary round of the 100 meters with a time of 11.60. She did not qualify for the event final.

In field results, the Razorbacks saw action in the 'B' sections of the triple jump and pole vault. Making her Texas Relays debut, Tamara Myers finished fifth in the triple jump with a best mark of 12.29m/40-4. In the pole vault, Danielle Nowell had a final clearance of 3.70m/12-1.5 to finish in 15th place.

Day four will also include a timed final in 4x200-meter relay and field action in the 'A' section of the pole vault featuring Tina Sutej and Tara Diebold.
