HONOLULU, Hawai'i - Two Arkansas players earned tournament honors on Sunday as the Razorbacks wrapped up the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic with a 2-1 record. Junior Keira Peak was named tournament MVP, while senior Sarah Watkins was named to the all-tournament team.
Peak was dynamic for Arkansas in Hawai'i, scoring 70 points over the three games. In the opening game against No. 13 Oklahoma, she scored a career high 30 points, and added 16 points in a 83-68 win over host Hawai'i. Peak also led the Razorbacks to a 79-67 win in the tournament's final game against Oregon by posting her second double-double of the season by recording 24 points and 10 rebounds. She averaged 26.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 3.0 steals per game during the tournament. Peak is Arkansas' leading scorer on the season, averaging 17.7 points through six games.
Watkins had a strong three games en route to being named to the all-tournament team. She tied a career high with 25 points in the victory over Hawai'i, and posted 45 points and 10 rebounds in the three games.
The Razorbacks return home from Hawaii to play their next three games at Bud Walton Arena. Arkansas hosts Texas Southern on Thursday at 7 p.m. (CT).
