AS A RESHIRT JUNIOR (2012-13): Fess made a large contribution to the 2013 squad in his junior season, especially in doubles play where he paired up with freshman Santiago Munoz playing at the number three position for a majority of the season. The duo went 10-9 including four crucial SEC victories. In the SEC Tournament Fess and Munoz took down Alabama's Kenyon and Tsangrides for the second time of the season giving Arkansas the chance to win the doubles point. In singles play Fess was 7-6 ending his season on a three match winning streak and moving his overall singles record to 27-27. The junior was also named to the SEC Community Service Team.
AS A REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2011-12): Hall Fess had a breakout year for the Razorbacks during his junior season, most notably teaming up with Matt Walters in having a doubles season to remember. Fess and Walters were the defacto No. 1 doubles team for the Razorbacks all year and compiled 20 wins throughout the fall and spring seasons. In dual play, the duo won 12 matches to lead the Razorbacks and also earned three wins against ranked opponents to help build a national ranking of their own. The tandem's best win came against Mississippi State's Louis Cant and Malte Stropp, who at the time were ranked No. 32 in the nation. Fess and Walters scored a decisive 8-3 victory over the top Bulldog team and helped catapult Arkansas to the doubles point over MSU. Fess and Walters ended the year ranked No. 49 in the nation. Fess also saw plenty of time in singles matches with the majority coming in the fall. He did see action in three SEC matches and also scored three wins in dual non-conference play with wins at positions four, five and six.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2010-11): Fess appeared in 13 matches for the Razorbacks and compiled a 9-4 record overall and was 2-1 in dual play during the spring. Those two wins came at the Nos. 4 and 5 positions against Matthew Tansil of Oral Roberts (6-0, 6-0) and Drew Feder of Saint Louis (2-6, 6-0, 1-0(3)). In doubles, Fess saw playing time with four Razorback teammates, but was most successful with Taj Harrison. The team built up a perfect 3-0 record after a great showing at the Auburn quad early in the 2011 year.
