FAYETTEVILLE – Through the first six competitions of its indoor season, the No. 2 University of Arkansas women’s track and field team leads the conference in four events with 11 top-three marks. The Razorbacks resume their schedule this weekend (Feb. 22-24) as the host of the 2013 Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville.

Entering the conference indoor meet, Arkansas has posted conference-leading performance at 400 meters with Regina George, 5,000 meters with Diane Robison, Makeba Alcide in the pentathlon and the team’s distance-medley relay. Alcide is also ranked second in the high jump while Grace Heymsfield has the third-fastest times among SEC competitors in both the mile and 3,000 meters.

The 2013 SEC Indoor Championships begin Friday at 1 p.m. (CT) with the multi-even competitions. Action on Saturday and Sunday starts at 10 a.m. with the weight throw at Walker Pavilion and noon at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
