FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback soccer team (11-6, 4-5) dropped its final Southeastern Conference (SEC) road match of the regular season at Auburn (5-8-4, 1-5-3), 3-1, on Friday night.

Auburn struck first in the 26th minute when Cassie Ramsier scored her first goal of the season.

The lead would not last long, as junior defender Allie Tripp score her third goal of the season in the 38th minute of play to tie the match at 1-1. The match would remain tied into the intermission.

To begin the second half, Auburn retook the lead on Kala Faulkner's first goal of the season in the 50th minute to make the score 2-1. The Tigers would strike again in the 87th minute of play to claim their first SEC win of the year.

Junior Jeriann Okoro was credited with her fifth assist of the season on Tripp’s goal. Senior Taylor Green recorded two shots on goal for the night and sophomore Ashleigh Ellenwood recorded another, but the Razorbacks were held off the scoreboard for the remainder of the match.

The Razorbacks return to host Georgia on Sunday in Fayetteville at Razorback Field for senior day to honor seniors Jessie Givens, Taylor Green, Evan Palmer and Yvonne DesJarlais. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. kick and will be televised on CSS as part of the SEC’s television package.
