FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas swimming and diving team rolled to a 13th consecutive dual meet win Saturday by defeating Nebraska at home 205-95. The Razorbacks collected 14 of 16 event wins, highlighted by first-, second- and third-place sweeps in the 1,650-yard freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke.

“We just take one thing at a time, one training session at a time, one week at a time, and one meet at a time,” head coach Sean Schimmel said. “We certainly weren’t ready for this meet until 11 a.m. today. We just try to stay very focused on the next right thing, doing what’s in front of us, and doing it at an extremely high level.”

Senior diver Kesha Naylor (Saskatchewan, Canada) also led a strong performance on the boards, earning her first zone qualification score on the 3-meter board with a winning score of 291.00. She bested last week's zone qualifying score on the one-meter board with a second-place score of 284.40.

Arkansas started off the dual meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. The Razorback team of sophomore Anna Mayfield (San Antonio, Texas), junior Nikki Daniels (Wichita, Kan.), junior Susanna White (Forest, Va.), and sophomore Nina Drolc (Velenje, Slovenia) finished the race in 1:41.76.

The 1,650 freestyle was the first event swept by Arkansas. Junior Lauren Jordan (Carmel, Ind.) led the Razorbacks with a first-place finish in 16:53.12. She was followed by senior Nicole Menzel (Hilton Head, S.C.) in second in 17:00.8 and senior Julia Kucherich (York, Pa.) taking third in 17:09.50.

The Razorbacks followed that performance with another sweep in the 200 freestyle. Drolc placed first in 1:50.95 followed by sophomore Maddie Monroe (Godfrey, Ill.) in 1:52.06 and freshmen Leia Bates (San Antonio, Texas) finishing third with a time of 1:53.09.

Daniels won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.27, and led the contingency of Razorbacks who swept the 200 breaststroke. Daniels placed first in 2:18.18, followed by junior Julia Banach (Eilat, Israel) in second place in 2:19.36 and freshman Mary Margaret Soderberg (San Antonio, Texas) in third in 2:23.12.

Arkansas swept Nebraska again in the 200 backstroke, led by Jordan with a time of 2:03.50. Kucherich finished second in 2:05.44 and freshman Sarah Easterling (Cumberland, Maine) placed third in 2:05.89.

Mayfield took first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 55.67. She also had a winning time in the 500 freestyle finishing in 4:53.64.

Freshman Katie Kearbey placed second for the Razorbacks in the 200 butterfly in 2:04.69, missing first place by a mere .58.

White placed first for Arkansas in the 50 freestyle recording a time of 23.02 and earned another win in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.10.
