Razorbacks head to Tampa

FAYETTEVILLE- Coming off an outstanding performance at the Getterman Classic in Waco, Texas, the Arkansas softball team heads to Tampa, Fla. to take part in the South Florida Invitational where it will take on Georgia Southern, Drake, USF and Wisconsin.

The Razorbacks (4-1) not only won their opening weekend tournament, but also took down #7 Baylor on its home field.
 
In its first match-up of the weekend the Razorbacks will take on Georgia Southern on Friday at 1:15 p.m. The Eagles are coming off a weekend at the Kickin' Chicken Classic, in Conway, S.C. where they went 3-2 defeating George Washington, George Mason and Coastal Carolina while falling to Marshall twice. This will be the Razorbacks third meeting with the Eagles, last meeting in 2003 with Arkansas taking the win.
 
Arkansas will face Drake in its second game of the weekend which will be the first of two games on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. This will be the first of three meetings between the two programs this season. Drake will travel to Arkansas the first weekend in March to play in the Woo Pig Classic.
 
In their third game of the tournament, the Razorbacks will face the host team USF.  The Bulls have a 3-1 record for the 2012 season, falling to # 2 Florida 2-3 in eight innings last weekend. Arkansas and USF will play Saturday at 5 p.m.
 
The Razorbacks will round up tournament play with Wisconsin on Sunday at 9 a.m.
