FAYETTEVILLE- The University of Arkansas incoming freshman softball player Nicole Schroeder has recently been named All-CIF Division I. Division I is the largest high school division among California prep sports.
Schroeder earned this honor after hitting .400 with nine home runs and 33 RBI to lead Esperanza High School to the County League Championship. She was also named to the all-state team which includes all divisions.
The Yorba Linda, Calif., native plays club ball for the 18U Gold Sun Gabriel Valley Velocity coached by Mark Shuster.
"Nicole is one of the most talented hitters from a talent rich southern California," says head coach Mike Larabee. "Nicole has a chance to come in and make an immediate impact at the plate with her power."
Schroeder will be joining a Razorback team that made it to the Regional final in the NCAA Tournament, for the first time in program history.
