SEC announces softball TV schedule

FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas softball team will be televised twice during the 2013 season. The SEC released its 2013 television schedule on Monday.

The Razorbacks’ two televised games will take place on April 14 at No. 8 Missouri on ESPNU and April 26 at No. 6 Tennessee on FSN. The SEC tournament, in its entirety, will be televised on the ESPN family of networks from May 8-11. Fans will also be able to access the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts through WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN mobile app.

The SEC schedule features 23 games that will be distributed nationally by ESPN. Fox Sports Net (SportSouth, FS Midwest, FS Southwest and Sun Sports) will televise seven contests while CSS (Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast) will broadcast five games.

The 2013 softball season begins Feb. 7 while conference play starts March 8. The SEC Tournament is May 8-11 at the UK Softball Complex in Lexington, Ky.  

Arkansas begins its season on Friday in St. George, Utah at the Red Desert Classic. Arkansas’ first game will be Friday morning against Colorado State at 10:00 a.m. CT.
